Jon Sibal Camaro XS Render

A few months ago we posted a piece by Jon Sibal and had great response from it. Check it out here if you missed it. Jon is one of the most talented guys I have met. We respect him tremendously. I think all of you will like to see some of the things Jon has been a part of over the years and what makes him tick so we sat down with Jon and picked his brain on his personal taste in cars, what fuels him and his thoughts on the future of the auto industry. Enjoy the interview and Rapid Fire!

Camaro Hits Nitto Legends 1320

If you have an internet connection and a thing for cars, chances are you’ve heard about, played or are currently mindlessly addicted to the Nitto Legends 1320 online drag racing game. The unfair thing about Legends is that it’s completely free to play so getting started takes all of five seconds to do until you can brag to your friends that they can’t out tree you. The reason we’re covering Legends, beside a past obsession some of us personally have with the game, is that the folks at Legends have partnered with GM to finally put some GM vehicles in the game – leading off with the special WD-40/SEMA Cares Camaro.

2011 Buick Regal LNF

We never thought we’d cover anything with a Buick badge on it ‘cept maybe if it was followed by the GNX acronym. We feel sort of obligated to do so now however since the top brass at Buick has decided to toss in some turbocharged, direct-injected, 2-liter love that we all know as the impressive LNF powerplant. The LNF has been the force behind many of GM’s most popular tuner cars so what is the engine that gets more horsepower per liter than the Corvette ZR1’s LS9 doing under the bonnet of a Buick?

Back in August we reached out to all of you to submit the questions you’d like to have answered by the infamous John Heinricy. We got with John to get answers to your questions and posted the entire Q&A as a special treat to you, the GMTunerSource.com fan. Well after that feature was over and John had spent a little more seat time in the Stage 1-equipped Cobalt SS Turbo, we received some more questions from all of you and followed up with John to see what his long-term opinions and observations were of the kit. Mr. Heinricy was kind enough to give us his take, which we have exclusively after the break.

LNF Warranty Information

After we announced that the Stage 1 kit for the Cobalt SS was out and the mad dash began, we started getting comments, emails and phone calls from people upset about how the Stage 1 kit voids their factory warranty. GM HPVO would never put you out like that and we here at GMTS would never lead you to water only to shoot you when you started to drink. Rest assured the Stage 1 kit for the LNF is in full compliance with your factory warranty and we’ve worked with GM HPVO to make sure your dealers know what’s up as well. A special bulletin has been issued that you can reference to your dealer to help satisfy any warranty concerns which you can find after the break.
